I'm 37 weeks and I am ready to meet our little girl! Don't get me wrong, we aren't rushing things. I want her to stay inside until she's ready to come out on her own but I also can't wait to see her. I want to see her little fingers, toes, nose and lips. I want to see her sweet face and cute baby bottom. I just want to see her and take her all in. I'm sick with a head cold so the thought of going into labor right now with less than half a nostril working is less than desirable. I've had some talks with her about how I'd rather she stay inside until mommy is well. Hopefully she'll listen!
At my doctor's appointment on Monday, I was weighed and I gained half a pound since the previous week. I figure that isn't too bad considering I'm at the end. It makes 4.5 pounds I've gained total for the pregnancy at this point.
Last weekend we had our maternity pictures taken. The cd of the images is on the way to me but until then, here is a collage of some of them that our photographer, Layne Aumann, took. (Note: If you click on the picture, it'll open up a little larger in a new window.) The stuff on my belly and right hand is henna. I decided I wanted to do something symbolic so I picked a tree that had roots growing down and branches growing up and out with dainty flowers on them. I love how it turned out!
